Welcome to Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services

As we follow the COVID-19 situation, we have experienced many changes in our daily routines.  As funeral professionals we will continue to be OPEN and here to serve our families and  communities.

For families who have lost a loved one or that are looking to make pre-arrangements we do offer the option of online arrangements for your comfort and safety. We can also webcast any services via your loved one’s Brown Funeral Home obituary page or through Facebook Live so family and friends who are not able to attend can still be a part of the ceremonies.

During this difficult time we need to stick together. Funerals and memorials help bring us closer to provide comfort when we need it most. Even though you might not be able to pay your respects in person we encourage you to leave a message of condolence online or send families a card or flowers. Anything sent to our funeral home will be delivered to the family.

Public visitations and services will be limited at this time. We encourage families to consider more public memorial services (at no additional cost) once the health environment is safe.

We can all do our part to help stop the spread of COVID-19 by practicing social distancing and obeying the “Stay At Home Order”. We will still continue to provide the highest possible level of service to our families, but their health and safety and the safety of our staff is the most important.

As we move through these uncertain times, we want you to know that we are taking precautions to keep you and your loved ones safe. The health and safety of our client families is always top priority.

We at Brown Funeral Home are following the guidelines provided by the CDC, Michigan Department of Public Health, along with the City of Niles and Berrien County. We always strive to provide the best service to our families and will continue that service during this time. We are also in close contact with our local churches and community centers and will work with them to provide the best services possible.

We are taking extra precautions as well. We have increased the cleaning of our facilities and have also provided additional hand-washing and hand sanitizing stations. We urge you to follow the CDC recommendations and stay at home if you are feeling sick and increase hand-washing. Please visit the CDC’s website for more information: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html.

Stop handshaking – use other non-contact methods of greeting

Clean hands at the door using hand sanitizer and  wash hands often

Create habits and reminders to avoid touching their faces and cover coughs and sneezes

Disinfect surfaces like doorknobs, tables, desks, and handrails regularly

Increase ventilation by opening windows or adjusting air conditioning

Please contact us if you have any questions.
