I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. Your Dad was a good man and I can still remember watching the evening news with him and listening to his words of wisdom. I hope all is well with your entire family and pray for all of you as you grieve your loss. I have a special place in my heart for the DeJonge family. I wish you all well. To Mrs. D. there are still two thing I remember about your class from Jr. High one how to spell schedule and two always stand with your knees flexed so you never get tired. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Renee, Rhonda, Rick, Robb and Mrs. D-I'm so sorry to hear about your dad and husband. I lost my dad in December 2006. Please know that the tears will be replaced with comforting memories of him which will help you through your grief.
Renee: I have fond memories of us as wee girls playing at your house, splashing around in the pool, singing songs to the record player. I remember your dad was larger than life to me (perhaps because he towered over us as children), but I also remember his sweet smile. I hope that you find comfort in knowing that he touched many lives and will continue to live on through you.
Mrs. D: I also have fond memories of you. Please know that I'm thinking and praying for you. And, know that Love never ends.
Rhonda, Rick and Robb: I'm sorry that you lost your dad. But I know that his spirit lives on in your own children. You're in my thoughts too.
Faith, Hope and Love (1 Cor 13:13)
With warmest regards,
Karen Hartman Treadway

Dave and I met at Martin's #4 under the watchful eye of Bruce in 1989 and were married in 1994. He hired both of us, actually. We have a lot of good friends from old #4 and talk frequently about "the good old days" always fondly remembering how Bruce would watch the front line from the office window above. He's still looking from above, only from a very different, much better window. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. We are truly sorry for your loss. Bruce will always be part of our stories of Martin's #4.

I was saddened to hear about Bruce's passing and want to express my condolences to you and your family. I was just thinking back to those early days at the Jr. High and remembering that you and Bruce and Chuck and I went out together once and of course those New Years Eve parties at our house.
Bruce was always such a gentleman and such a likable man.
You and your family are in my prayers.

On behalf of my family we send our sympathy on your recntly departed.
We were never fortunate enough to meet Burce Melton face to face, however, we have meet Bruce throgh his son Rick DeJonge. We are from Austin, Texas and we have been so blessed by Bruce's son, here at Oak Hill United Methodist Church. We truly believe that all things come from God. We also understand that letting go of those precious to us is very difficult, but be comforted in God , because, He has blessed your family with many gifts and as far as we know Bruce's spirit is alive with Rick and God's work continues as a joyful noise brings more and more people to know God. Thank you for sharing Bruce through Rick and Amen for God is Great!

Heard this song on the radio, and just wanted to pass it on to you ALL.
Does Jesus care when I've said goodbye To the dearest on earth to me, And my heart aches till it nearly breaks- Is is aught to Him? does He see? O yes, He cares- I know He cares! His heart touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I KNOW my Savior cares.
May these words comfort you, Lois and the rest of the family as well. We pray that you will continue to experience God's Amazing Grace during this time. Love in Christ, Gerard and Adele
