Obituary of Lawerence Seaman

Lawerence Seaman June 15, 1940 September 18, 2008 Lawerence "Larry" Seaman, 68, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2008, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, with his wife, Linda, by his side. Larry was born on June 15, 1940 to the late Charles and Marion (Miller) Seaman in Lapeer, Michigan Larry graduated from Lapeer High School in 1958. He attended Flint Jr. College and joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country for 4 years. He married Linda Nuding in 1965 in Utica, New York. Larry retired from the Michigan State Police. He was stationed in Alpena, Michigan where he attended Alpena Community College and received his associates Degree. He was then promoted to Sergeant and transferred to the Niles Post, where he retired from. He was respected and fair and those who could accept criticism knew this. Larry was an avid sportsman, loved hunting, fishing and a member of the National Rifle Association - whom he supported so the future generations can have some freedom and rights he enjoyed. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda, Son Mark (Kate) Seaman of St. Joseph, Michigan, Daughter Chris Houston of Florida, grandchildren Ellie, Thomas and Charlie and Brother Brian (Kate) Seaman of Oxford, MI, Aunt Dorothy Behnke of Lapeer, MI, Brother-in-Law Eugene Pat of New York and several Nieces and nephews. In keeping with Larry's wishes he has been cremated and a memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. Needless to say he will be greatly missed.
