Paul A. Sergio, D.D.S. posted a condolence

I have known Larry for some 20 years and even though we knew what was coming it's hard to believe that he's gone. I always enjoyed our little side discussions when he came in to see me, often about gardening. I'll never forget the time he drove his tractor all the way from his farm to my brothers house in Niles to break the sod as we started a family garden. He happen to just show up the day we moved into our new house in Niles just as we were unloading. He just grabbed some boxes and started helping. Larry was a friend that will be dearly missed. May the Lord comfort his family in his loss.

I have worked for Dr. Paul Sergio for nearly 20 years. Larry has been a patient here since the
start. I remember how intimated I was when I first met him... a little gruff and stern, no doubt from all those years as a State Trooper. But as the years passed, I looked forward to
seeing him pass through our doors. I was always giving him a ribbing about something and he was always there to throw one back. It became difficult to imagine ever being intimated by him, once he flashed that grin! I might add...I still would NEVER have wanted to be pulled over by him in his trooper days! :) As I scheduled appointments, we always needed to work
around "whatever" hunting season was beginning or ending. It has been a real joy to know him. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers have been with you.

Dear Linda
We were saddened to hear of Larry's death in the Alpena News Although it has been many years since you and Larry and the kids lived in Alpena we still remember it with great affection .He was a good and honest man and it was a privilege to know him .Besides that Linda he was a lot of fun .
We remember when Larry got a couple of duck decoys from a yard sale in the country and came over and put them in Russs' bird bath so Russ would see them
when he got home from work !Of course Russ knew right away who had done it !!
Also ,remember when he won the Brown Trout festival and the time he shot the deer with his bow and arrow at our camp.We have so many memories which we will never lose .
With our Love and deepest sympathy
Ann Kroll and Rob Kroll
