I would like to extend my condolences to Jean's family and friends and to say that I am so sorry for their great loss. I was introduced to Jean about 23 years ago and she and I maintained our relationship over the telephone. She was a most beautiful, gracious and generous person. She always gave of herself and expected nothing in return. Jean was without a doubt, the best friend you could ask for. She and I would talk endlessly and fearlessly about everything, secure in the knowledge that neither of us would ever pass judgment on each other. She listened to my daily experiences, was extremely supportive, and always made me feel good about myself. Jean was a rare person and I am extremely grateful to have had her in my life. My biggest regret is that we never got the chance to meet in person. Nevertheless, I am very grateful to be "Her Kid in California." I will toast a glass of champagne in remembrance of her and her great spirit.
