Life passes by quickly, and sometimes we can forget that. I received the news only this morning (July 17th), but I wanted to write something so that I could be there in spirit with you all. I thought about what I wanted to say, and all I could think of was this. Grandpa isn't suffering anymore. The pain he's been through in life finally over, and he can rest. I know that today isn't goodbye, just an intermission. Grandpa Louis is in heaven, and at peace. I'll never forget Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving with my Grandpa, and I will surely miss them. But we all have the memories of Grandpa that we can cherish, and when our time does come, we can take comfort in knowing that he is already home in heaven; and there we can all see him again. I love you Grandpa Louis and may you rest in peace.

louis was a childhood friend and neighbor, we had a lot of great times together as kids, football in the back yard, camping in the woods behind his house, building a clubhouse out of old barn wood taken from a torn down barn in the neighborhood, and turning it into a pigeon house, and he loved the pigeons then also, I had not seen him in many many years, because I have lived if florida almost 30 years but he was in my thoughts quite a bit, to the family your now in my thoughts in this sad time, he will be missed.

I am deeply saddened. Louis was the hardest worker that ever stepped in a meat dept. Many of us were "Trained" by Louis. He cut me! LOL ! He was my first great influence. He was the production. I cant thank you enough for everything Lou! You will be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad had one of the kindest hearts of anyone I know. I remember last summer I told Sheri we had no air conditioning in the house we were renting, and just in casual conversation she told her dad and the next thing I knew he was at Lowes buying us the biggest and best air conditioner he could find. He wanted nothing for it just for us to have it. That was the kind of man he was. I know Louie will find peace in heaven and be greeted by God with open arms.
