Obituary of Frederick Theodore Smith

Rev. Frederick T. Smith, 91, of Niles, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 91 on May 21, 2010 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, five sisters and twin infant siblings. He is survived by two brothers, Garth (Beverly) Smith, Franklyn (Betty) Smith, sister Lenna Vay (Calvin) Devitt and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. Frederick Smith was a Purple Heart Veteran of WWII. He was a pastor of a few churches and retired from South Niles Community Church at the age of 85. He attended Grace United Methodist Church, served on the committee of The Old Rugged Cross Historic Site and Gardens, a chaplain at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles, a member of the American Legion and Lions Club and a Boy Scout Leader.
