Obituary of John Frucci Sr.

John Frucci Sr. 88, of Niles, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2010 at his residence with his family by his side. John was born on September 15, 1921 in Niles to the late Rosario and Anitia (Vannozzi) Frucci. He proudly served his country for 6 years in the United States Marines during World War II where he received a bronze star and purple heart. John is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Mae Frucci, parents, 7 brothers; Dominic, Frank, Laurence, Bruno, Tony, Veto and Victor, 3 sisters; Frances, Tilly and Veronica. He is survived by 3 sons; John Jr. (Joanie) Frucci of Kansas City, Kansas, L. Michael (Jayme) Frucci of Niles and Erv Frucci of Niles, 2 daughters; Gina Frucci of Elkhart and Tina (Larry) Moore of Mishawaka, 9 grandchildren; Jon (Dawn) Frucci of Kansas City, Kansas, Tony (Randi) Frucci of Dallas, Texas, Aaron (Chantal) Frucci of South Bend, Chris (Melissa) Frucci of Camden, New Jersey, Amy (Nick) Fava of Hillbrook, New Jersey, Kimberly (Travis) Allen of Elkhart, Jason Williams of Elkhart, Jessica (Brian) Sanpers of Bristol, Indiana and Ariel (Dan) Weirck of Elkhart and 15 great-grandchildren.
