Obituary of Edward Eugene Thompson

Edward E. "Gene" Thompson, 66, of Berrien Springs passed away at his home on November 29, 2010. Gene was born on April 19, 1944 to the late John and Mary Thompson in Cleveland Bradley, Tennessee. Gene was one of three children growing up in the Thompson household. After high school Gene married Veva Stucker and went to work at Asarco Copper in Amarillo, Texas and retired as a foreman. Gene enjoyed wood working, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids. He is preceded in death by his father John Thompson, mother Mary (Fowler) Tusek, wife Veva Thompson, a brother Charlie Thompson and a sister Kacky Vazquez. Gene is survived by his children Vicky Devine of Niles, Michigan, Edward Jr. (Dawn) Thompson of Amarillo, Texas, Lou Ann (Rick) Moore of Stevensville, Michigan, Nikki (Al) Thompson of Niles, Michigan and Douglas (Sandra) Thompson of Niles, Michigan, 10 grandchildren and a brother Frankie (Hilary) Thompson of Amarillo, Texas.
