Dear Amy, I was so sorry to hear David's accident. Gary and I are praying for you and your daughter. I know it has been so long since seeing one another, the time does fly, but the memories are still as bright as they were while we were in Lexington with you guys. Your wedding, the youth day out, where we were suposed to be working instead...yep we played. So did David!! We never ever did get that shed moved!! David is rejoiceing, free from pain and heartache. We will continue to hold you up in prayer.
Love, Gary and Robin Armes

Amy, My heart is so heavy for you, Brittany and the whole family's incredible loss! It feels like we just blinked since our youth days in Lexington, when your journey together began. My thoughts and prayers have been with you constantly since hearing the news. David was a sweet old soul and had an intense, geniune love for God and people. I can just see David running laps around the throne with his Dad now, shouting, "Oh, my, my! Mighty God!". I'm praying Jesus hold you and Brittany tight in the days ahead. Know David's waiting for you all at the gate!

I will never forget the first time I set foot into the Potters House church, there was this man and boy was he glowing, instantly I was drawn to him. I did not know his name then but as time went on Oh I found out and since that day my life has been changed. Brother David Bullens is a true child of the most high God, his spirit is so sweet, you can not help but be drawn to him. Brother, God already knew I would miss you so much, he already knew I would feel a void, but he also knew that I needed you in my life even if for a short time, as you and your life have made me a better person...Sister Amy, I love you much, but you already know that, you know that we are family, and you know I am here for you and Britt, you have a sweet spirit and I thank God for you and Britt..
If I could I would turn back time
Oh yes.......I would press rewind.
But as I am but just a man
I will accept what God had already planned.
I will miss you David everyday
Knowing that life is precious in every way
Thank you for showing me
what the Love of God is
By being his son and never compromising
And as I go, day to day
My goal will be heaven
knowing I will see you again that great getting up day!!!!
Love you always

What is there to say in such a short space about a wonderful, Godly-spirited man? David was truely a great example of what God is calling us to be! He was a true Christian. Like said many times before, he had the Award Winning Smile!
I had lived next to David and his family for many years. There was never a time when he would come to my rescue of starting a lawn mower or worked on my car. He always had his own way of doing things. He once fixed part of my car with a good ole' coat hanger. Most people are in bed at 2am, but not David. He had his own way of doing things, when I would lay in my bed at 2am trying to sleep, there David was fixing something out in his yard. But I couldn't ask for a better neighbor. He was a great neighbor, friend, and mentor to me. David always had such a positive attitude towards life. He always gave such great advice. I remember one time he told me, "I may not be your dad, but I will protect you like my own if any boy hurts you, you just come and tell Uncle Dave." I know he is in a better place watching over me and protecting me still. I will never forget David. Love you! See you soon!

" David, you were always very kind to my family and I'm sure that God has welcomed you into his kingdom with the singing of angels and the music of harps welcoming you into the gates of Heaven. We haven't seen you in many years and always thought good things about you. The last time you came to our home was to retrieve your air compressor that you left at our home in 2006, it was waiting for you to return. I was sorry that I wasn't home to say hello to you and to ask about Brittany. Rest in Peace Dave, as you are now with your Dad helping him build a home in Heaven for you.
The Kerwin Family - Jim, Rita, Michelle, and Samantha"

David Bullens will be a part of our family forever. He always had a smile, loved my boys, call me Sis and loved to share a laugh with Andy. He was like a brother to me, visited me when I was in the hospital and always had an encouraging word for me. Heaven is truly gaining a southern angel.

It is so very hard to sum up our friendship, memories & feelings for David, our friend, our brother, our neighbor and not only K.C. best friend, but hunting, fishing & whooping it up in our garage @ 10pm! Of course, that is when David's day started:) So very glad that we ran into you on Thursday , shared a laugh, a hug and an "I love you". You loved our family like it was your own and we are all the better for that. The one thing that is comforting us now, is you are rejoicing with your dad. We will look after Amy & lil' Hillibilly for you, we promise you that. We love you and you'll be a part of our hearts forever.

My last memory of David was last Sunday at Church. When he came to say hello to my family, his smile lit up his entire face. That was David - always happy and cheerful, never a bad day with David. David's smile always warmed by heart, He will truly be missed.

My favorite memory I guess was when I got to spend time with David and Amy working on our new Sunday School room. David always had a funny story to tell, and always had a smile on his face. He also like to joke around, and see if he could get you to fall for what he was saying. I am going to miss his laugh. He gave so much of himself to others - thanks for the example David
