Obituary of Charlatine Lorraine Duffing

Charlatine Lorraine Duffing, 69, of New Buffalo, Michigan and formerly of Baldwin, Michigan, passed away at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo on Saturday, March 10, 2012 with her family by her side. Tina was born on October 7, 1942 to the late Robert and Mary (VanBrocklin) Duffing in Baldwin, Michigan. Tina was always the life of the party. After graduating from high school Tina found her calling as a mother. She opened her house to anyone that ever needed it, person or animal, and dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was always the life of the party and her sense of humor was always obvious along with her quick wit and endless love for her children and grandchildren. Tina is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Ralph Duffing, Marie and Harold Curtice, Sharon Duffing and Billy Duffing. She leaves behind her wonderful children, who will always keep her memory alive, Kristin Sharum-Rockey of New Buffalo, Michigan, Shanna (Michael Plis) Sharum of New Buffalo, Brandon Smith of Clare, Michigan, Chad (Amanda) Smith of Clare, Pam (Roger) Rutherford of Brooklyn, Michigan and Harold (Polly) Smith of Grand Rapids, 14 grandchildren, one great grandson and siblings Robert (Jeanie) Duffing, Steve (Sharon) Duffing, Jim Beamer, Michael Duffing, Patricia (Stanley) Cousineau, Elizabeth (Michael) Bosley and Marianne Beamer. Tina's family will be holding a memorial service later this summer to honor the amazing legacy that Tina has left behind.
