You were so kind and loving, you did anything for us kids. You were a AMAZING Papa! Paws loves and misses you too. She wanders the house looking for you. You taught us many things, including how to be funny. The fart machine will go on... I love and miss you so much.

Dad,
No words can ever express how much you will be missed. You were the best Papa ever, to all your grandchildren. Each one has special memories with you that they will cherish forever. You were definitely one of a kind! I will miss our daily talks, advice, plans to go fishing, trips to DQ, and mist recently to Mr Pizza. You have taught me so much in my life and I am truly grateful for that. Many things/places in life will not be the same without you thete. I wish I could have had another day with you but God could see how much pain and suffering you were in and decided to take you home. We were not ready, but you dad, you were. Thank you for all the memories you gave to us all. You will forever be in my heart. Jackson and I love and miss you dearly.
Love,
Your Rosie❤️

I remember when I would come to nenes for the summer and call my papa to take me to Walmart and he would come get me and I would take nenes card and papa and I would go shopping for new legos and he would ask me if nene knew I took her card to pay for it and then we would go to Dairy Queen for ice cream. Papa always got a strawberry sundae

Since Roger was my nephew, I have many memories, especially when he was a child. I forgot to add some pictures of the family. One is his MOM & DAD, myself & his MOM, his Grandma & Grandpa holding his Mother as a baby, & him as a child with other family members.

Roger was gifted in many ways. He could draw or sketch some beautiful pictures. At my Doctors office years ago I had to have ex-rays taken. When I went in for the ex-rays I saw a picture on the wall in a frame. I knew Rogers's work, so I asked where did he get that picture & he told me he had seen this young man sitting outside a station drawing. He was so taken by it he asked if he could buy it. He said he only got the young man's 1st name, ROGER. When my Dad, Roger's grandpa, passed away Roger drew a picture of CHRIST on the cross & asked me to put it inside Daddy's jacket. He could also build anything and grow anything. BY: Rachel Dayhuff (AUNT)

Q: What will you never forget about William?
A: I will never forget all my years of growing up, how we never knew whether to take uncle Roger serious or not! He was always the prankster, but my favorite memory was how he used to tease us kids that we were eating squirrels or opossums! Heck, with Uncle Roger we probably did and never knew it cuz he always said it was chicken.
Rest in peace Uncle Roger, you’ll always be missed.
Love Denise and Rich

Dad,
You were the absolute best father a girl could dream of having. You were so loyal to your family and did everything for us you possibly could. Even went beyond papa duties and spoiled those grandkids like crazy. They definitely had you wrapped around their fingers. I remember Baby X summers here and he would tell me you were coming to get him. To later find out he called saying he needed a ride to Walmart and you always stopped what you were doing to take him, just didn’t realize till after the fact it was my debit card y’all would go on your Lego trips to Walmart with. China man absolutely adored you. We will forever treasure his little baby cane he learned to walk with that you made him. All the grand babies were so lucky they had you as a papa! I know you are no longer suffering or in pain and you will always be by my side. I miss you so much and know I will see you again. I wish I could have one more day to waking up to a text from dad with the silliest face he could send me. One more day of calling and waking me to telling me he was hungry and stopped for food and left me some and I should get it before it got cold.
I love you dad!!
Always and forever

I walked through that door after coming home from school and you said "Hailey take this picture of me. How good do I look?" And I remember thinking that even though you are no longer as healthy as you once had been, you still had the time and energy to be as goofy as ever. Even though you may not have been my biological dad, you will always be the man who raised me. You will always be my dad

Oh Roger, what a wonderful brother in law and uncle you have been! Every one of your Texas family loved you so very much and you will be dearly missed. Your storytelling and leg pulling and sense of humor were one of a kind and your laugh itself was infectious! Your nephews and nieces down here have plenty of memories of Uncle Roger pulling their leg, that's for sure! Your suffering and fear are over now and you are in the arms of God surrounded by your loved ones. What a marvelous place to be! With love,

My fondest memory of my uncle was going to his house when he lived on camwood in Houston. He had a great sense of humor and always made me feel welcome.
