Obituary of Cynthia Marie Forrester

Cynthia M. Forrester, 50, of Buchanan, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 26, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Cyndi was born on September 27, 1972 in Salem, Oregon to the late Dennis and Deborah (Hillman) Wallace.  Her childhood was spent in Stayton, Oregon where the family enjoyed camping, hunting, and other outdoor activities with various family and friends. 

Cyndi graduated from Milo Adventist Academy in 1991.  After attending Walla Walla Adventist College, which included a semester teaching English in Poland, Cyndi was accepted to PT school at Andrews University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Physiology and her Masters in Physical Therapy.  During this period, she met Richard Forrester and the couple was married in Stayton, Oregon on May 17, 1998.  After several jobs with various employers both in Michigan and Washington state, Cyndi spent the last 21 years working for Corewell Spectrum Hospital in Watervliet. Cyndi enjoyed a variety of activities such as painting, knitting, crafting, hiking, canoeing and gardening.  She also enjoyed spending time with her children.

Cyndi is survived by her loving husband, Richard; her children, Emma and Olivia Forrester, all of Buchanan; siblings, Heidi (Randy) Morgan of Salem, Oregon, Shawna (Ron) Iverson of Buchanan, Michigan and Angela (Jeremy) Beam of Walla Walla, Washington as well as Richard’s parents, Clarence and Lois Forrester of Berrien Springs, Michigan.

In keeping with Cyndi’s wishes the family will be honoring her with a private ceremony later this year in Oregon.
