Obituary of Bethany Marie Fortner

Bethany M. Fortner, 29, of Niles, Michigan, daughter, sister, and friend to many, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family, following a brief illness. Her family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by Caring Circle Hospice. She was born on February 13, 1992, in Niles, Michigan to Barry and Colleen S.(Singleton) Fortner. She graduated from Brandywine High School in 2010. Bethany was currently working at the Bath and Body Works in South Bend at the University Park Mall. She had been previously employed as a cook at Signature Healthcare. Bethany was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Larry and Jane Singleton; and her paternal grandparents, Fate and Margaret Fortner. She is survived by her parents, Barry and Colleen Fortner of Niles; and her sister, Sarah Fortner also of Niles. A Celebration of Life service will be held on February 5, 2022, at the the Community Evangelical Free Church, 120 E. Bertrand Rd. Niles, Michigan from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
