I didn't know Bethany for long, nor did I get to see her often, but having her in the ASAP program at Ivy Tech really helped me. She was friendly, willing to help and funny. She kept me stable and gave me advice when I needed it. Our birthdays were close together, which made the one birthday we spent together a permanent memories because of how wonderful it was.

My thoughts are with the Fortner family for the loss of such a wonderful person. I know I have always been “Jaki’s little sister”, but Bethany was always kind to me. She was fun to be around and we always enjoyed when she would go out and do stuff with our family. I appreciate that she was always such a good friend to Jaki. They really did have an unbreakable bond. We will always remember her kindly. She will be missed greatly and thought of often. Thank you Bethany for being a part of our lives.

We met in 2001 and our friendship grew over the years. As teens we became best friends and even after having a small falling out we reconnected and it was like it never happened. It just clicked and she was always there for me. I love her so much, it broke my heart to have to say goodbye to the one person who understood and accepted me no matter what. I will miss her desperately for the rest of my life. She was loved so deeply. My thoughts are with her family and our ears and hearts are open to them always. Rest In Peace beautiful bestie
