I will miss my Grandpa dearly. I recently visited with him and had a good visit. I called him weekly but always got his answering machine because he didn't recognize my number. I am deeply hurt that whomever is in charge of his estate left my daughter, mother deceased granddaughter and I out of his obituary and that no one bothered to let me know of his passing.

Chuck worked with my Dad Garth Bogart and Brother Rod years ago on the roads. My dad died in 1979 but every Christmas my mom would get a Christmas card from them until she died in 2001. I called him every year for quit a few years and what nice conversations we had about the years working with dad. I’ve been thinking of him lately and just looked his name up. My condolences to the Bakeman family. His son Dondi was my best friend when we were young. Todd Knight and I took Chuck to breakfast a while back and we caught up on old times. I would like to tell a story but there are too many to choose from so I will just say that Chuck and Jean were more like my 2nd Mom and Dad then just friends. I love you Chuck, please tell Jean and Dondi that I send my love- Thanks Steve Messenger

I saw Chuck recently. He came to the house and he told me of his recent illness and we chatted for awhile. I told him that I had recently become a grandmother. Robb & his wife had a little girl. His whole face lit up. I am happy I got to see him one last time. Rest In Peace Chuck....
