Obituary of Charleen Boudler

Charleen Edith Boudler, 77, of Berrien Springs, passed away at Pine Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stevensville on Wednesday, August 9, 2017.
Charleen was born June 30, 1940, in Cadillac, Michigan to Henry and Nora Jurkowski. She graduated from Cadillac Senior High in 1958, and attended Davenport College in Grand Rapids, Michigan for 2 years. She then went to work for Webber Sign Company.
She married Gary Boudler in 1962 and they had four children. They moved to Charlotte, Michigan where she worked at Hayes Green Beach Hospital for several years. In 1986, Charleen moved to Saint Joseph, Michigan and worked at Lakeland Medical Center for 20 years. She retired in 2006 and moved back to Cadillac, where she became an active member in the Wexford County Genealogy Organization, and eventually serving on the Board of Directors.
In 2013, she moved to Berrien Springs, Michigan where she enjoyed nature and outings with her friends. She loved to travel and had been traveling since she was six years old, having visited 40 of the 50 states, and Canada. She enjoyed reading, music, movies, crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was known for her smile, her crazy sense of humor, and her willingness to help others. She will be greatly missed.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Henry and Nora Jurkowski; her son, Gray Boudler; and daughter, Margaret (Maggie) Smith.
She is survived by her son, Mark (Paige) Boudler of Bulverde, Texas; daughter, Laurie Boudler of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; grandsons, Rian (Brittany) Mohre of Potterville, Michigan and Dustin Scott of Benton Harbor, Michigan; granddaughters, Brooke Boudler of San Antonio, Texas and Ashley Boudler of Bulverde, Texas; and great grandsons, James and Ezra Mohre of Potterville.
Cremation has taken place and Charleen will be interred at Boon East Cemetery on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 1:00 p.m.
