I loved Rick's sense of humor, I always tried to outsmart him but it never happened. He loved to tease and he was good at it. I will always remember him having that sheepish smile on his face. Rick had a big heart, and always offered to help. I will miss you Rick, you will be missed greatly.

In life every person has that one best friend, Rich was mine.
We spent many days fishing together, went canoeing together, and even shared a Boundary Waters adventure together. Whatever we did, Rich always brought his "A" game, was 100% prepared, took care of all the research and all the fine points. I always knew that what ever I forgot he had covered. He was special that way.
If someone was going through tough times Rich was always the first person to offer a helping hand and do whatever he could to help them out. He was special that way also.
I always looked forward to Wednesday mornings, that was the day he came to my place of employment and we would go out for coffee and donuts. did it for over 20 years.
Rich, I will never forget you, please watch over me when ever I go out in the boat.
Our hearts go out to the family during these difficult times. Love Julian.

To a very special man that I'm proud to have called him my Brother in-law. I will never forget the times we all had playing card games, especially Mille Bornes. You will be truly missed. COUP-FOURRE to you my Brother. Chris

Poppop as all of us grandkids called him was devoted to fishing and stained glass. Most of the time I would go over would be to make stain glass. This pictures is when we finally started to get my hardest project of all the stained glass church to work. It was an achievement for both of us because of what we had gone through to get this to work. I will never forget that day and what you taught me, “ Perseverance will Get you a long way.” I love you Poppop. - Laci

I was the head custodian at Howard for a short time and I had the great fortune of meeting and getting to know Mr. Rich. He always had a smile on his face, was always so kind and treated everyone with respect. As you can imagine, there were a lot of 'not fun' days as being a custodian at an elementary school, but Mr. Rich always made my day better by popping into my office to say hi. We would talk about fishing or his old truck, or whatever else was on our minds. He was a truly good man. I know that I will miss him tremendously and a piece of my heart is now missing forever. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Prayers and Love to you Shirley, Becky, Kelly,Melody and every Grandchild and Great Grandchild. Rich was such a good man. I remember when you all first moved here. My parents were lucky to have such good friends and neighbors. He was such a good man and watched over Josh when dad had died. So fee men are caring and loving. He was a man that took pride in his family. He was a strong Christian man and fought a courageous fight. This world has lost a good man. Respectfully, love always
