Evangelene Irving, 77, of Niles and previously of Perry, Georgia, passed away at the Center for Hospice in South Bend on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. Evangelene was born on December 25, 1942, to the late Henry A. Rose and Margret Davis Bosbous. She was adopted and raised by Richard and Margaret (Sutfliff) McAbee. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Tawnia Lila Reinhart, Ricky Gowlan, Jack McAbee, William McAbee; and 2 grandchildren. Evangelene is survived by her children, Evangelene (Al) Bell, Kevin (Carol) Bundy, Harold “Pete” (Tina) Bundy, Shawn (Ellen) Bundy, Maria Mendez, Juanita Hernandez, Denise Irving, Cindy (Mark) Kenyon, Catherine (Jeff) Burks and Melissa (Guy) Nearpass; twenty-nine grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; siblings William Rose, George (Davis Mendez-Castillo) Bosbous, Anthony (Margret) Bosbous, John Bosbous, Fred (Kyle Gustofson) Bosbous, Cheryl (Vern) LaDuke, Sophia (Dan) Weaver, Thelma Bosbous, June Bosbous, and Judy Pasco; along with many extended family members and close friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, also at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel.
