Obituary of Kyle Brandon Lindsey

Kyle B. Lindsey, 32, of Battle Creek, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at his home.

A lifelong resident of Battle Creek, Kyle’s passion was to serve others.  He was a firefighter and medical first responder for the Leroy Township Fire Department, where he started in 2009, as well as an EMT for LifeCare Ambulance Service.  Kyle enjoyed working in his yard, doing landscaping and caring for his pond.  He also enjoyed remodeling his house and had a special love for animals.  His favorite pastime was traveling and spending time with his friends and family. 

Kyle is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ned & Betty Jennings and Robert Lindsey.

He is survived by his father, Douglas (Sue) Lindsey of Fairlawn, Ohio; mother, Stephanie Zoss of Bellevue, Ohio; grandmother, Shirley Lindsey of Bellevue, Ohio; step-father, Jim Zoss of Battle Creek; sister, Kelly (Edward) Cariuty of Escanaba, Michigan; nieces and nephews, Alicia Barney, Chandler Barney, Aden Cariuty, Mason Cariuty, Liam Cariuty, Bentley Cariuty, and Sophia Cariuty; half-brother Zachary Lindsey; step-sisters, Alexandria Hooshmandi, Ariana (Nathan) Smith, and Sarah Zoss; step-brother, Steven Zoss; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service to celebrate Kyle’s life will be held on June 29, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at First Wesleyan Church, 14425 Helmer Road South, in Battle Creek with a time of visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m.
