Obituary of Russell Andrew Moore

Russell A. Moore, 66, of Benton Harbor, passed away at his home in Benton Harbor on Monday, January 21, 2019.

Russ was born on August 23, 1952, to the late Mearl and Evelyn (Phillips) Moore in Niles.  On February 14, 1980, he wed Karen Neff at a ceremony in Niles.  He and Karen owned and operated Moore’s Service Inc. located in Sister Lakes until his retirement, in 2016. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mearl and Evelyn Moore; siblings, Mearl D. Moore, Robert L. Moore, Neal L. Moore, Mary Katherine Moore, and Margaret M. Perry; and grandson, Christopher A. Woods

Russ is survived by his wife, Karen Moore; daughters, Linda L. Woods and Melissa A. Moore both of Niles; three grandchildren; sister, Maxine Hutchinson of Hobart, Indiana; his faithful companion, his dog, Harvey; and many extended family members and close friends.

In keeping with Russ’ wishes, he has been cremated and will be laid to rest at Sumnerville Cemetery.
