I am so sorry to hear of Sam's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Sam at AM General for about 13 years and for many of them I was Sam's immediate supervisor. Sam occupied the cubicle adjacent to mine at his own choosing (he had initially implied that I needed to be able to keep a close eye on him).Sam definitely spent his life "dancing to a different drummer". He was his own man with a great deal of passion for the things he enjoyed. At work he took great pride in his role as the Fastener and Torque Quality Engineer at the Commercial Assembly Plant. Over the years I learned a great deal from Sam about his area of expertise. I took Sam's advise and recommendations very seriously and was confident in his skills and capabilities. I am sorry I didn't stay in touch with Sam after I left AMG in 2016. I will always have fond memories of my days working with Sam and sometimes just chatting with him about his Cubs and my Yankees, or about his home and small farm. I will keep Sam and his family in my prayers.
