Dave, Carlie, and Taylor,
So sorry for the loss of Connie. You are in my prayers every day. The bible says we can make our plans, but the final outcome is in God's hands.
Love you all.

Dear Gordon and Carpenter families,
Connie was in many of my favorite memories of my two years at IUSM in South Bend. She was a source of comfort and laughter during two of the most stressful years of my life. I knew that every time I walked into her office (which at the time was in the basement of Hagar Hall), I would leave with a smile and most often a hug. She truly was the glue that kept the place together. You will be in my prayers.

Dear Gordon family,
Words cannot express how kind Connie was to me, my wife, and my young boys. She made bad days good and good days better. I will forever miss her laugh, her sense of humor, and her genuine nature. I will forever remember the love she had for her family, for her friends, and for life.
She will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
With deepest sympathies,
Patrick, Jenny, Abram and Willie Sheets

A king asked, “In the prime of my life must I go through the gates of death and be robbed of the rest of my years?” (Isaiah 38:10) Yes death robbed Connie of precious years. There should have been more memories to build with family and friends.
But God promises to bring the dead back to life on earth as demonstrated by Jesus (John 11:14-44). Soon the God of all comfort will provide you permanent relief when death itself is abolished (Revelation 21:4). Envision the reunion as you hold your dear Connie again. Jesus’ kingdom government will bring to mankind this and so much more, yes “more than all we ask or imagine.”
May the love of family and friends, memories of your dear Connie and the peace of God replace any pain in your hearts. My prayers and condolences are with you.

Dear David, Carly and Taylor,
Marilyn and I want to express our deepest sympathy for your loss.
I had the privilege of working with Connie since her arrival at IU. She had the unique ability to keep everything running, knowing where everything was and how to keep me from messing up my computer. She was a mother to our medical students, my graduate students and, yes, many of us faculty and staff. Her bright smile would light up even the most gloomy day and calm any chaotic moment. We will always miss her!

Though Connie may be gone from this Earth she will never leave our hearts & memories. Few people truly enjoy life as fully as Connie did & humor was a big part of her personality, with that in mind I say, Oh the Memories !! I would share a few with you now, but I am not sure this site is rated for that!
Our lives have been enriched with love, joy and laughter because Connie was a part of them. So Connie - You, My Dad & Uncle Bob try to keep the laughter up there down to a dull roar!
Love Always,
Your up north Aunt and Cousins

I was very saddened to learn of the passing of Connie, When I joined the IUSM SB campus, Connie was my contact for the past and for the future. As ten years past, she
became a valuable resource for information on faculty, staff, and students. I very much enjoyed working with her and she added immensely to the smooth operation of the medical school. Her contributions to the school and her work with the students will be very much missed. My prayers are with you.
