Dear Ann, Mike, Amber and Ludie,
One of my fondest memories was walking Chris at age 12 from Red Bud Trail by Gambles to Grandma Rumsey's with a flat bike tire. It was a long walk, but we enjoyed just being together. During our visit, I shared God's love message (John 3:16), and Chris accepted it.
During the last few weeks of his life, Chris reaffirmed his faith as we visited and prayed together by phone. In the last prayer we shared he poured out his heart praying that each of us would be kept safe and well.
So now it's not "Good bye", but "Good night Chris". When Jesus returns (and that's what Chris was interested to learn more about), it will be just a wink or a nap for him, and "Good morning Chris!" I Cor. 15:52. We will be together again-forever. That is my hope, and may it be yours.
