Obituary of Leroy E. Medlin

Leroy E. Medlin, 57, of Buchanan, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 7, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to Dewain and Carmella (Fedele) Medlin. After graduating high school, Leroy served his country, joining the U.S. Army. On February 4, 1974 Leroy married Vicky Denison in St. Joseph, Michigan. He worked as a supervisor at Jack Post in Galien for over 17 years. Leroy always enjoyed working, especially the last 10 years with his sons at South Shore Tool & Die. He was a University of Michigan Football fanatic and valued mostly his time spent with family. He was preceded in death by his father. Leroy is survived by his wife Vicky Medlin of Buchanan, his mother Carmella Medlin of Niles, two sons Doug (Lisa) Medlin of Buchanan, Jeramie (Kristie Pierce) Medlin of Buchanan, five grandchildren, five brothers; John (Linda) Medlin of Indiana, Mike (Sue) Medlin of Michigan, Tony (Ruth) Medlin of Michigan, Mark (Nina) Medlin of Michigan and Dewain Medlin of Michigan and one sister Sherie (David) Davis of Michigan as well as many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Leroy's wishes, cremation has taken place and his family will be honoring his memory privately. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to his family.
