Please share a memory of Doug to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Douglas A. Ingram, 49, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 21, 1965 in Battle Creek the son of Robert and Dianne (Cushing) Ingram. Doug graduated from Pennfield High School in the class of 1983. On February 6, 1988 Doug married the love of his life, Nada J. Force, at a ceremony in Battle Creek. Doug was currently employed as a laboratory technician at Denso Manufacturing, where he worked for over 27 years. He was a founding member of New Hope Apostolic Church in Battle Creek where he served faithfully as a board member, treasurer, usher and as a member of the praise team and choir. Doug was a loving husband and father. When asked what his hobby was, Doug would often simply reply "Nada". Together, Doug and Nada enjoyed camping, traveling, working on projects around the house and, most of all, just spending time with their family. Doug was diagnosed with colon cancer a few short weeks ago and was amazingly brave. He calmly spoke words of peace and comfort to those fighting with him. Doug is survived by his wife Nada Ingram of Battle Creek; sons, Jacob Ingram (Caela Graves) both of Chillicothe, Ohio and Zachary (Ciera) Ingram of Battle Creek; his soon to be born grandson Brady Douglas Ingram; father Robert (Sue) Ingram of Plainwell; mother Dianne (Ralph) Cates of Battle Creek; siblings Steve (Shelly) Ingram of Plainwell, Bob (Bobbie) Reish of Kalamazoo, Rana (Andy) Findling of Kalamazoo, Nicole (Phil) Kahler of High Point, North Carolina, Colin (Becky) Ingram of Livonia, Angey (Jon) Stafford of Kalamazoo, Andy (Michelle) Ingram of Kalamazoo, Melissa (Scott) Baxter of Battle Creek, Paul Bartram of Battle Creek, David (Amy) Bartram of Vienna, Virginia and Melinda Unger of Royal Oak, Michigan; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and countless others whose lives have been impacted by Doug.
