We had the joy of having had Doug in the youth group at Penfield Assembly of God Church, as well as coaching him in the Junior Bible Quiz Team for two years. Doug was always quick to learn, reliable in his efforts and fun with his amazing sense of humor! His faith was genuine, even at that young age. Life was not always easy for him, but he took whatever was given to him, and displayed wonderful grace throughout. We know he will be greatly missed by those closest to him, but we join you in looking forward to the time when we will all be together again in Jesus' presence. God give you peace in the days ahead as you adjust to your loss. God bless your family.

Bro. Doug and Sis. Nada were members of our youth group when I was Youth Pastor in Battle Creek. Bro. Doug was an awesome young man then, and as we grew older he continued to show how great of a man he was. A wonderful husband and father, and a loyal child of God. We will miss our brother, but we know he is in the arms of God. Our love and our prayers go out to his family. Know that you are loved, and people are praying for your comfort.

Saddened to hear about my friend Bro Doug! We know that he is in a better place, and while that is comforting to know, there is still so much sorrow to bare.
What a wonderful man that I have had the pleasure of knowing for so many years, Doug was a gentleman in every way.
To Sis. Nada and family, I pray that the Prince of Peace will hold and comfort you today, and time to come.
The Dunlap Family.

Doug was not only a VERY GENUINE person, he also happened to be a very smart, caring, and hard working individual. Not only did I have the pleasure of seeing him occasionally at Denso, I also worked with him at Bill Knapp's as well. One of the hardest workers I have every met. Never a cross word to say about anyone, and there were many times when he was just slammed at Knapp's, and never complained. He had an infectious smile that he ALWAYS greeted you with. Wonderful man, who will be greatly missed. My heart and prayers go out to Doug's family during this hard time.

Doug was such an amazing person, in my time of need i have had 2 of my children very ill and very close to not making it. Both times he always took the time out to come talk to me and ask how they were doing. Always he kept my hope high. Even weeks sometimes months later he would still ask me about my boys. His word's kept my spirit high. My hope is that his family knows how much he ment too every one at work. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.

Doug was one of my first friends in school. He was a very nice, kind boy with a fantastic smile. I haven't seen him since we graduated in 1983, but it seems that he turned into a wonderful man. I am so sorry for his passing and send my sympathies to his family and friends.

I have been friends with Doug since early childhood. He could always make you smile, no matter how down you were. If he was able to help you, he would. No one could ask for a truer friend. We shared many great times together. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
I pray that God grant Nada and family strength and comfort through this time and that He lay His peace upon their hearts.

I've been fortunate to know Doug from school, church, and work. Nada did daycare for my oldest son, who until Doug's passing, worked with Doug at Denso. Doug has always been a friend and gentleman. He has always been an exemplary son, brother, husband, father, employee, and friend. Doug will be missed greatly. Nada, may God give you the strength to be the matriarch of a beautiful and broken-hearted family. Doug, your suffering has ended, and you've gone home to make the angels smile - God speed, my friend.
