To Henry, Karin, Jaime, Aaron an Jennabeth, Edith was the most kind hearted, beautiful and soft spoken woman we have ever known. Always looking out for everyone else's needs. She will be greatly missed here on earth. Edith's strong faith in her Lord and Savior, was evident in her love of life and love of her family and special friends. We rejoice knowing that Edith is now enjoying splendid peace in her eternal home. May you be comforted in knowing that Edith knew exactly where she was going and that one day she will be reunited with each of us.

Aunt Edie was a huge part of all my summers as a kid. I would go over to mamaw coras to see her and we would joke and play for hours on the front porch. She was such a sweet and loving person. She let everyone know just by her actions that she loved everyone. I will truly miss her. I loved Edie very much. Pat and family you are all in my prayers.

I have always loved Aunt Hattie and all her family. We always had so much fun when we had family reunions at my house in Hancock County and they all came. I am very sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I will try to come to her Tennessee memorial service. Love to all of you. Annell Brewer Seal, daughter of Uncle Quill Brewer

It was always SOOOO much fun when Aunt Hattie, Uncle Arlie and all their family came to visit us in our Hancock County Tennessee home. We cooked all kinds of wonderful foods,
laughed until our sides were sore, and made beautiful memories.
Aunt Hattie and Uncle Arlie had such beautiful sweet spirits, and Edith had the same sweet spirit. I am sorry I didn't get to see her on her last visit to Tennessee. I know she has joined the others in our families that have gone before and they are having a wonderful time. Love to you all Betty Brewer Williams, daughter of Uncle John Brewer

This message is from Aunt Cora to Pat, Karin, and children.
I am sorry for the loss of your Mother, Grandmother, and My sister. I am thankful for the good times we had when she visited. She was always a big help to me. We had lots of talks, laughs, jokes, and cutting up as we say... I will see you in the spring when you come. I will be praying for you all. Remember, we will be together again someday with all our family who have gone on before us. Hold to that promise and God will get you through the difficult times ahead. Love you and praying for you, Aunt Cora Seal

Aunt Ede was one of the most soft spirit and soft spoken women of our family, but she enjoyed life. Loved getting to spend any time I could with the whole bunch when she was down on her visits. We have spent many hours breaking beans, peeling apples & peaches, working up tomato juice, all while sharing stories, laughing, and making memories! I was lucky enough to be a part of Uncle Clay's Molasses cook-off with all of Mamaw's sisters,(and many other neighbors) and eating Aunt LouAnn's hot biscuits when the molasses were ready! That was a 3 day (maybe more) event, so you can imagine what events/conversations/ were had---LOTS OF FAMILY FUN and GOOD TIMES! One of the best memories, and I have told many times to friends, was this:
All the sisters , (just can't seemed to recall if Aunt Easter was in or not) and Uncle Clay, several of nieces, cousins (like myself), and many kids were gathered at Mamaw Cora's. It was about 9:30 at night, which was past most of their bedtimes--but not when this group got together, LOL, and Aunt Edie got on the subject of Chocolate Gravy. After she told me the ingredients, I searched Mamaw's kitchen...we had it all to make the gravy and homemade biscuits... So, the adventure was on...and by 11:00--11:30PM,we were eating HOT CHOCOLATE GRAVY made by the expertise and input of Aunt Ede,Aunt Ruth, Mamaw Cora, Aunt Mildred (MIM), and I and the other "relatives" made the HOMEMADE BISCUITS! I just had to share this really special memory, and I know we all have many when it comes to our family. But Chocolate Gravy is becoming a lost art... Thanks for EVERYONE who has brought Aunt Ede to and from for the many years and allowing us young ones time to spend with her too. Family isn't something we can take for granted, just enjoy until God is ready for them to return. The greatest gift I can say about our family, is the Godliness of our elders who have passed and encouraged us to follow. A pastor said tonight, "Actions speak louder than words, you don't have to preach a sermon to tell about God, it can be displayed in the way you live your life, the way we talk, walk, and love others... Our loved ones whom have already gone home sure displayed this to me and have been a true inspiration. (Aunt Mim, Aunt Ede,Uncle Clay, Allen, & Diane) All were loved dearly. To Pat, Karin, and kids, she loved you all. I felt as though I knew much about you, because when she was here, she spoke of everything you all were doing or would be doing---sports, school, etc. She was so proud of her GRANDBABIES! Your life was very important to her... Again, thank you for sharing Aunt Edie with us in the summers. We are so blessed with the promise of our Salvation, , that "WE WILL MEET AGAIN!" Will miss her this summer, but will be singing praises to God and giving him the glory. He makes no mistakes even in our sorrow or valleys. He will raise us up and give us strength in weakness. He is good.
(Sorry this is so long, but it was on my heart.) Love and Prayers from:
Britt and Stacey Seals Farrar (Ray's daughter), & Ashley and Abby

Praying for all of you during this time. I know from experience that the only way to get through it, is turning it all over to the Lord. He is the ONLY reason I survived when mom died. I will miss Aunt Edie so much. She always had me cracking up and we were always up to something when she was around. Love you all
