Obituary of Jack E. Grice

Jack E. Grice, 66, of Cassopolis, passed away at his residence, on Saturday, July 18, 2015. He was born on October 14, 1948 in Niles to Harvey E. and Lucille L. (Fisher) Grice. Jack was drafted into the U.S. Army and served his country proudly. He was retired after many years of service at WEVAC Plastics Inc., where he worked in maintenance. He was a volunteer for Toys for Tots and a talented woodcraftsman. He also enjoyed collecting stamps and hot wheels. Jack enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always "on the move". He was preceded in death by his father Harvey Grice, a sister Diane Berry and a brother Gerry Koch. Jack is survived by his mother Lucille Grice of Niles, a daughter Jacky (Patrick) Gant of Cassopolis, a son Adam (Beth) Grice of Niles, three grandchildren, a sister Beverly Howe of Niles and two brothers Dan (Donna) Grice of Niles and Tim Grice of Niles. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Brown Funeral Home in Niles from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. An interment will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery with full military honors, rendered by the Buchanan American Legion Post 51 and the U.S. Army.
