Dee Dee lived a very blessed life. Marrying her 1st love, having two amazing sons, and working in the field that GOD chose for her. This is truly a sad time. My heart goes out to my great nephews Brendon and Steve, as well as to Steve Murray Sr., Dee Dee's husband and love of her life. If there was something to say, I would say it. If there was something to do, I would do it. But there's nothing to say and nothing to do, now that Dee Dee has moved from a place in time to a place in eternity. The only thing to do is to gradually grow accustomed to this void her absence causes in our lives. We will never get over it, but we will become familiar with the pain over time, and it will hurt less and less. So for now: namaste.

Deedee, my heart is a little sadden but my soul rejoice. I thank God for letting me get to know you. I remember the last time we were together at Bible Study all of us were waiting outside for pastor to let us in. We were laughing because I had told him for once I was on time and he was late.(It was funny because all of you knew that time management isn't one of my strengths.) It was circumstance and coincidence that I came to know Deadria. We had had several classes together online at Bethel before our paths crossed in "real" life. I feel lucky to have gotten to know her. Deadria always seemed to know what to say and when to say it regardless of the situation. She always had a smile on her face and had kind words to share. I have been thinking of her lately, and my only regret was not sending her that card to congratulate her on her degree and a job well done. I am so grateful that I got the chance to get to know her. Deadria's positive, caring, and non-judgmental attitude left an impression on me that I will carry with me for the rest of my days. She always spoke so highly of her husband and children and I hope they find peace a this time.

Mother, you were more than a woman to me. You were and will continue to be my hero. You know, at first mom I was so sad but now I realize that God has you and I'm so happy for you. God has gained an Angel... you were definitely an angel on Earth so you have had much practice for your new home! You were a wonderful aunt to me my whole life and I always enjoyed coming to your home to visit you, my uncle, and cousins. Though we only knew each other for a short time, Deadria and I clicked and her friendship inspired me to cherish truly beautiful souls like hers. She would tell me wonderful stories about her beloved mother, and how much she loved the closeness she shared with her siblings. She just beamed when she spoke about her sons and husband, and how much it meant to her to share in their pride for her recent bachelor's degree accomplishment. I absolutely loved working with her at the library, and can fondly hear her contagious giggle even now. What a gem she was, gone far too soon.
