Obituary of Helen Yvonne Harman

Helen Yvonne (Milliken) Harman, 63, of Sawyer, passed away at her home on Monday, October 12, 2015. Helen was born on March 18, 1952 to the late Horrace and Roina Milliken in St. Joseph, Michigan. She was one of four children born to the Milliken's. Helen worked for many years as a cook at the Board of Trade. She loved cooking and baking so much that she frequently made goodies for her family. When she was younger Helen also enjoyed knitting and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Barbara Lefevre; infant brother; and sister, Ruby Carpenter Helen is survived by her significant other of many years, Craig Freyer of Sawyer; children, Arthur (Angella Braden-German) Doran III of New Buffalo, Michigan and Doreen (Cory Green) Smith of Benton Harbor, Michigan; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild and sister, Mary Milliken-Domke of Michigan and Jan Knolls of Kalamazoo. In keeping with Helen's wishes she has been cremated and her family will be holding a memorial service at a later date.
