Wendy posted a condolence

Words can't express the overwhelming pride that wells up in me knowing that this incredible soul was actually my father and loving and nurturing in his wise ways to also be my Dad. I have thanked the Good Lord above many more times than I can count for every part of him, as every part of him had something of useable value to teach. He's someone you could never get enough of and his passing has only deepened the desire, the need, to spend more time with him. His spiritual gratitude, commitment and passion for life made this world a much better place. I pray our paths will someday cross again. God Bless You Dad.
Loving You Always,
~~Wendy~~

Dad use to drive a Volkswagen Beetle when the car no longer ran. Dad took the frame and placed it down near the woods. I can remember Rosie and me pretending to drive our baby dolls around. This was also out pretend playhouse
I also remember the night I confessed to my parents that I was smoking...Dad just happened to try to follow me in the woods.I would always walk to my favorite place to smoke..deep in the pine trees.I knew if Dad were to find me smoking all hell would break loose..So I decided to come clean.,Surprisingly they both took the news smoother then I thought.
Daddy. We were going to go to Wahoos next month. I will still go have our lunch as planned..I know you will be there sitting across from me in our booth..love you so much..

When I think of grandpa, the first thing that comes to mind is his smile. And on top of that smile, a camera. He loved taking pictures and recordings of family get togethers. He was always so happy and warm, and he loved us grandchildren with everything he had. My grandpa was An amazing man and will truly be missed. Love to you grandpa and may you rest in peace.

I remember Grandpa and Grandma used to take us fishing at the end of the school year. They took us to celebrate our accomplishment of doing good in school, followed by a dinner at our favorite restaurant.I remember Grandma would follow up dinner with sugar free dinner mints. Going over to their house trick or treating, getting donuts and cider. On Christmas and Thanksgiving they would cook all the fixings. Grandpa was quiet, smart, and enjoyed his hobbies. Some of which were spending time with his family, bird watching, and playing cards. He also enjoyed going on color tours. I could tell Grandpa was proud of his family. He often had a camera placed in his hand waiting to take your picture. If it was a holiday, or a special occasion, he liked to tape record the event to keep in his collection of family memories. These are just a few things I could tell about Grandpa. To sum it up, he was a man that other men should strive to be like. He kept his word, always did his best to do the right thing. He took care of his family, was proud of them, even on their short comings. And he loved with all his heart. He will be missed.
