Thinking about you this morning...every morning. I miss you sweetheart so very, very much. I think I probably drive everyone insane because I'm always crying. Trying so hard to be strong and not fall apart. I just wish it were different. I think about your accident all the time...what if I had called you later, maybe you wouldn't have had the accident. What you were thinking and feeling and knowing I wasn't there for you. Everyone tells me not to, but I can't help but wonder. I'm so thankful I was able to tell you I love you, but I just want to hold you close again and tell you in person. Maybe I'm selfish. I don't know. I just miss you so much. I wish you could be here to be here for your beautiful babies. I worry so much about them, but especially KayLynn. She misses you so much and is really having a hard time without her mama. I just wish I could make it all okay for everyone but I can't and it breaks my heart. Simply put, I love you so very much and miss you more than I can ever verbally express. Mom

Kayla, missing you so fiercely today...well, every day. We celebrated Easter yesterday and I put up a front to be strong for everyone but my heart was screaming and aching, missing you and grandma so very much. Nothing seems right anymore. I just want to cover your beautiful babies with so much love and protection but feel as if I just can't do enough. I can't replace you. I miss you so much sweetheart. I'd do anything to just hear your voice. I go to call you after work and realize I can't. I do the same with grandma, and it ends up leaving an ache I just don't know how to fill. I pray, I cry, I try to lean on your dad and your brother and sisters, and I know that they're aching too, but it doesn't ease the pain. I miss you so very much my sweet girl. I wish I could hear you calling me to tell me to pray for someone, your tender heart that I miss so much! Baby, I'm going to go home and try to make you proud and spend the evening with your dad. I know that him being home with me/us makes you smile in heaven. I love you sweetie!!!!

Andrew, Amanda and family... I cannot begin to express how broken my heart is for you all. I only knew Kayla as a kid and like I posted on F.B. the other day, my favorite memory is when Amanda grounded her and Taryn to their room and they were supposed to be cleaning it. We go to check on them and they were in the closet eating cheeseburgers...these girls had done snuck out in their pajamas (prolly barefoot too because you couldn't get them girls to wear shoes unless maybe you paid them lol), in the winter, and went to McDonald's. Just a funny memory I thought I'd share, we couldn't help but laugh at them!

I will never forget Kayla's warm smile and hugs. I dont think there was ever a time I saw her that she didn't smile, offer a "Hi Aunt Kathy" followed by a hug. She was always so sweet and respectful to me. Love her! She has certainly instilled the same sweetness and manners in her children. She was an wonderful mother. Even though Kayla's life on earth was to short, she was blessed at the time she had having such a close and loving relationship with her parents and siblings. They have a very rare love and closeness as a family that most people would love to experience. It is beautiful and the family is blessed to have all those memories.
I am praying continually for all of you that you will lean on and trust the Lord in this time of pain and that He will give you His peace that passes all understanding.
