Way to young really! Mike was one of my favorite cousins growing up. It seems like yesterday I was at his wedding! I spent a lot of time with the smiley family growing up, camping, holidays, etc.. His mom was my moms sister.. I remember when he worked at pizza hut which is ware he met Jo Lyn. Life is definitely unpredictable. R.I.P. Mike.

I'm sad to say that I did not stay in touch with Mike after I joined the Army in 1982. He was one of the guys (the rest of whom I still call friends) I grew up with, played sports with and shared many good times with. Mike got me my first job at his uncle's pizzeria. Life and work takes many of us to different parts of the world. I did, however, think of Mike often. He was a great guy and I was fortunate to be able to call him my friend. Much Love, Jeff Filippi
