Obituary of Lori A. Lott

Lori A. (Benson) Lott, 55, of Niles, passed away suddenly of natural causes on Friday, October 28, 2016. She was born on June 24, 1961 in Goshen, Indiana to Charles and Faye (Baker) Benson. Lori graduated from Cassopolis High School, class of 1979. She was currently employed at the Metropolitan Title Company of Indiana and had many years of experience as a title examiner. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on October 5th, 1975, and was a member of the local Niles Congregation. Lori always looked forward to her international travels, especially to visit her close friends in Sweden. She enjoyed quiet nights watching a classic movie. She loved sampling fine wine, tea, and unique dishes. Lori had a great sense of humor and a warm, humble personality. All who met her liked her instantly and most grew to love her due to her caring nature and ability to truly listen. Lori will be mostly remembered for how she always gave of herself unconditionally in her usual spirit of self-sacrifice. She was a devoted mother, a loyal daughter, and a wonderful sister. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Benson, Sr. Surviving family includes a son Corbin Lott of Niles, her mother Faye Benson of Niles, two sisters; Kathi (Britt) Conrad of Ravenden, Arkansas and Susan (Ken) Hoffman of St. Joseph, two brothers; Charles Jr. (Kristin) Benson and Stephen (Elizabeth) Benson, all of Cassopolis. Lori had thirteen nieces and nephews, fourteen great nieces and nephews, and a special bond with her great-niece Claire. She will also be missed by many friends and the countless lives she has touched. A memorial talk will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, November 5, 2016 in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 603 N. 17th St. in Niles.
