Obituary of Deborah J. Baumgart

Deborah J. Baumgart, 60, of Niles, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 26, 2016, following a brief illness. She was born on October 18, 1956 in Dowagiac to the late Thomas and Imogene Dandurand. On December 4, 1976 Deborah married Chad Baumgard at a ceremony in Niles. After graduating high school, Deborah continued her education and received her Licensed Practical Nursing degree. She always enjoyed caring for others and had a special place in her heart for the patients and employees of West Woods of Niles, where she worked for the last few years. She was gifted oil painter, never missed an opportunity to shop and mostly loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Dandurand and Imogene Muff and a brother, Larry Dandurand. Deborah is survived by he husband, Chad Baumgart of Niles, her children; Sacha (Chris) Warren of Fort Worth, Texas, Cade Baumgart of Austin, Texas and Callie (Sam) Henley of Benton Harbor, five grandchildren and her siblings; Diane (Tony) Coleman of Dowagiac, Mike (Lisa) Dandurand of Long Island, New York an Mark Dandurand of Niles. She also leaves countless others who lives she touched. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for contributions to be made to Hospice at Home or the American Cancer Association. Funeral services for Deborah will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel, 61543 M-51 in Niles with a time of visitation beginning at Noon.
