Debbie and I became good friends in high school. We then became sister in laws and became even better friends. I have very fond memories of Debbie and they all include her smiling and laughing. Debbie was always a smart, fun loving, beautiful person inside and out. My heart aches for her family.

I light a yellow candle for you because I don't have a yellow rose, which was your favorite. I miss you Deb. So many memories I could have shared yesterday. But one I did want to share. You wished for snow before you passed. And it snowed on your wedding day and then again on the day we celebrated your life. How blessed we were that you touched our lives. Till we meet again. I had the pleasure of working with Deb. Her attention to her patients, her loving touch and emotional bond made her an exceptional nurse.
I benefited from one of debs beautiful paintings. Her talents were deep.

Debbie and I first met working at silverbrook nursing facility and then continued to work side by side at Westwood of Niles. My first impression of Deb. was great a Nurse. We bounced ideas and assessments of our patients off each other and trusted each others judgement. And still continue to learn from each others experiences as a Nurse. Debbie loved her residents and they loved her. Iam reminded of this nightly as I make rounds from room to room and gaze on the paintings that Deb. has painted hanging on the wall near the residents bed. A Subtle reminder that she is still with us. My fondest memory is sitting on the couch with Deb. ,blanket covering us because she is cold. Computer on our lap picking out her wedding dress, shoes.jewelry and laughing like school girls planning her wedding. That day between medications and treatments we shared a conversation of life and the here after that I will treasure forever. My only regret is that our paths did not cross much sooner in life. I will miss you terribly Deb. you always put others before yourself.

A Butterfly and an Angel
We cannot see the Angels
Yet we know they are near,
We cannot touch an Angel
Yet we know they are here...
Just look around you
See the lovely Butterfly,
Sailing in the sky of Blue
Fluttering, swirling up so high.
With Magic wings
It can wipe away our tears
Its beauty is so breathtaking
I know it's an Angel
God sent these beautiful Butterflies
They visit us as they soar
And play
They are really tiny Angels
Floating unseen among us

What a beautiful video. I could not help notice the butterflies at the beginning :heartpulse: . Debbie was an awesome nurse and was there for many as they recieved there Angel wings. Now Debbie was needed as an Angel herself and she has earned her Wings. I lost my mom a few years back and miss her every day, but everyday I see a Butterfly I think of my mom that she is using her wings here on earth to let me still know her love and I feel peace and know she is still here. May you also find peace when ever you see Butterfly wings. :heartpulse:
