How do you know its not true, how do you know anything is real? How do you know how long one second could feel to another being? How do you know I am real, how do you know anything is real. Maybe you thought of all of it. Do you know how low the chance is that you are really alive right now? How many others could have been born instead of you? Do you think you really broke infinity, or infinity is what you think it is? You did want an answer, right?

Butch, Andy & Melissa,
We have only been family for a few years, even though it feels like a life time. We have been blessed to have all of you as part of our family. Jack and Butch welcomed us with open arms. You have loved us and our children. You allowed Shea & Kara to call you Grandma Butch & Grandpa Jack even before Baby Jack came along. I have been blessed to have such wonderful inlaws in my life. I feel like you were my in-laws as well. We love you very much and we will all miss Jack. We will always be here for you. Please come to San Antonio and visit often.
Love always,
Ginger, Greg, Shea & Kara

Andy and Shannon -- Martha and I were saddened to hear of your loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your entire family during this difficult time. Having lost my mother at too young of an age I realize how difficult a time like this can be and want you to know that if there's ever anything we can do that you can reach out to us. God bless.

Butch, Melissa, Andy and family,
I was so saddened to hear of Jack's passing. I know the past couple of years have been a difficult time for him (as well as all of you), but he always tried to see the bright side of everything and had a smile on his face. May your faith in God, your memories, family, and friends help you through this difficult time and in the future. Jack was a wonderful person and will be remembered by many!
God Bless each of you now and always.

My deepest heartfelt sympathy goes to Butch, Andy, Melissa, and their families. Jack was one of the most wonderful people in the world. He cared for his customers, served them with a smile, and treated his employees as if they were family.
Working at "Thatcher Pharmacy" taught me responsibility as a teenager and allowed the opportunity for me to obtain some of the things a parent can't always afford to give their kids. The most valuable lesson I learned working for Jack was humanity. He had a BIG HEART, and greeted every customer with a smile. I will never forget seeing him standing behind the counter with his hand on his hip, and that big grin on his face.
Jack ran an efficient ship, he didn't want his customers to have to stand in line for hours waiting for their orders, as was the case in many large pharmacies. He helped those who needed medicine but could only afford to buy a week supply at a time. And after spending countless hours on his feet everyday he always had pep in his step. Especially at the end of the day when it was time to go home to his family.
Lastly, working at Thatcher Pharmacy was an experience that created friendships that have lasted for over two decades and many more years to come. I cherish my time spent with the Thatcher Family. Butch, Andy, Melissa, "Thank You" for sharing your Husband and Dad with so many… customers, employees, and friends. Please believe that Jack was welcomed into heaven with large band of Angels all around him.
God Bless You All.

Vicki and I offer our most sincere respect and condolences to the Thatcher family.
Jack was my best friend in high school, through later years and visits to Three Oaks. On a 1-hour drive today, I thought of him constantly. I talked to him and felt he was with me in spirit - he brought me peace and reinforced my sense of purpose in life. A model good-guy, he'll always remain part of me. We shared so many good times, from soda-jerking (with Jack at Whittaker/Gember's Rexall and me at Mick's Downtown Drugs), to the Jack and Tony adventure drive to ride dune-buggies at Luddington.
Vicki and I were very honored to see Jack and Butch at our Michigan wedding reception. We wish we could so honor the entire Thatcher family in person.
With our love and support,
Tony and Vicki Vesely

Dear Butch,
Mom told me about Jack and sent me this link. I'm so sorry for your loss. You both were a positive part of my growing up. Heck, I still have most of those silly mortar and pestles!
You are in my prayers. And, I'll remember Jack on Sunday at Mass. Take care of yourself, my friend.
Love, Cricket
