They say time heals and eases the pain and loss...I'm not sure of that yet. I have lost my best friend and closest confidant. This wasn't the way it was suppose to be. I feel like I have lost a piece of myself. I thank God that you were my Mother and you loved me the way you did. I love you Mom! xoxo :(

Dear Irwin family,
It has been a joy to know David and Marcia, and their family. And attending the memorial service Saturday emphasized the wonderful influence your family has on each other, their children and then the community. While I never met Joycelyn I can see through the contact how much you love and follow our Lord and Savior Jesus. Thanks for your influence on me and others.

Hi Mom,
How proud you must be of us kids! You taught us to love each other, believe in ourselves, be strong and show kindness while understanding. We are Engineers, Plumbers, Builders, Nurses, Business Owners, Doctors, Carpenters & Sales Executives. When life became a struggle, you & Dad lended your support. As we begin this new chapter in our lives we will do so with the strength you have shown. I thank you for my Sisters and Brothers. I thank you for this wonderful life you have given me. I thank you for letting Ronnie & I take care of Grama.I thank you for loving me unconditionally.
We promise to take care of Dad and make sure the coffee pot is ready for him in the morning!

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Your family has meant and continues to mean so much to me. You have taken me in as friend for about 40 years now. I treasure the times I have spend with so many of you. What a wonderful family you are. Continue to be good to each other and to take care of each other, just as your Mom has taught you to do. And Mr. Irwin, thanks for sharing Mrs. Irwin and all your family with me. God bless you all.

To my mom-in-law of 36 years..........
Thank you for everything - for always making me feel like I was truly a member of this amazing family (I've been awestruck watching what you all have done to support your mom and dad), for letting all my crazy animals jump and drool on you over the years when you didn't really want them to, for bringing me broth and Jello when I was too sick to get up, for giving me advice on my late projects for college, for showing me the right way to do laundry, for being understanding when I didn't make the trip to the "cold country", for creating a family that knows how to "be" with each other under no pretense and most of all, for bringing me your #1 son, my partner, Randy.6 children don't turn out this well by accident.Your effect is everlasting.I send my love to all of the family especially you, Max, Sr. (By the way, I've got a lot of yard work and animals for you to help me with.See you soon.)Janet Lynn

The Irwin family of Canton, Georgia are family to us. What a blessing it was to be a part of the wedding of Buck and Kristen and work in the kitchen with Mrs. Irwin. She was so warm and friendly. I felt as though that I had known her my entire life. How I rejoice to know that I will spend eternity with her, praising our Lord and Savior Jesus! Your family is in our prayers as you walk through this difficult time. May you experience the peace that passes all understanding through King Jesus!
In Him,
Connie and Nick

Her passing must be difficult for each of you - yet, it is bittersweet in that she is now in the loving arms of her Savior - what a precious place to be. You will be in our hearts and prayers, especially this weekend. Our love, John & Evanne

Joycelyn was one of the most loving people I have ever known. She and my Mother were best friends from high school. Joycelyn was there with me for the birth of my fist baby - I always thought of her as my "second mother". Whenever I needed a shoulder to lean on she was there for me. I loved her a lot and will miss her very much.

Dear Family,
We share your sorrow in the passing from this life of your dear wife, mother and grandmother. As Max and I rejoiced and wept for joy together the other evening over her decision to ask Jesus to save her soul and to give Him her heart, I mentioned something to him that I would now like to share with each of you; There is not the slightest doubt that these rough times come to us all on this side of eternity to maximize the number of us who will spend the rest of the untold ages on the other side of this life in the very presence of the Creator of the Universe. Why he loves every single one of us enough to become flesh and die for us I will never understand, but praise His holy name He did just that! What a precious thing it was to hear Max tell me that the very instant that his Mama's eternal spirit was made alive in Jesus, not only did her countenance change visibly but she understood the significance of what had happened to her in a way so profound that she immediately began to be a witness for Jesus as she tried to win that little day nurse to her Lord. She understood for the first time not only the simplicity of receiving the salvation that He offers but also the dire eternal consequence of leaving this life without Him.
In the days to come there will no doubt be tears of sorrow that will be shed by each of you. That is only natural. You love her and you miss her. However, no stranger to great loss ourselves, Dianne and I would urge you to picture this sweet woman rejoicing in the very presence of this same Jesus Who so gloriously saved her just a few days ago. She will not be thinking of you for her eyes and heart will be filled with Him and she is and will always be wonderfully happy and fulfilled. No longer bound by time, perhaps no longer even aware of it's existence, she knows that those of you who have asked Jesus to save you will be there with her sharing her great joy very soon.
For those who don't understand, who still wonder why this had to happen, consider whether is would be better to face death now and recognize ones need for salvation or to live another twenty years and go into eternity lost, to spend forever and ever shut off from the presence of God and from anything good, to suffer everlasting torment. Yes, we know it hurts for those left behind. There is a void which no other mortal can fill. However if, unlike Max, Marti, Buck, Blake and Ellen, you have never given your heart to Jesus why not give Joycelyn the greatest present you could ever give her? It may come as a surprise to some of you that it is not too late to do just that! Turn to her precious Lord Jesus, repent of your disobedience and ask Him to save your soul. I don't have it on scriptural authority for certain, but I suspect that He would whisper your decision in her ear, increasing her joy all the more! Won't you do it right now? If this letter has stirred your heart but you are still not quite sure, see Max. He will be glad to point the way, just as he did for his dear Mama.
We are praying for you all.
In the love of Jesus,
Tommy & Dianne Lawhorne
