Obituary of Raymond Fowler

Please share a memory of Raymond to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Raymond Henry Fowler, 75, of Niles passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at his home, with his family by his side. Raymond was born to the late Henry G. and Josephine (Woyak) Fowler on March 10, 1933 in Beloit, Wisconsin. After serving his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, Raymond then moved to Michigan where he worked at Rockwell Standard as a group leader for over ten years and went on to retire from Bendix (Honeywell). Ray was an avid Nortre Dame Fan. He was never far from the radio or television when they were playing. Ray also liked bowling and bragged about his near perfect bowling game of 299. Though in his early years he was known as "Boom Boom Ray", he was a quiet man and had requested that he leave this world the same way. Honoring his request the family will not be holding a memorial service, but express that in lieu of condolences you honor his memory with a contribution in his name to Hospice at Home, Inc. 4025 Health Park Lane St. Joseph, Michigan 49085 or your local CASA home. For his survivors and those who struggle with the battles of cancer, we encourage you to look ahead. "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. " Romans 8:18 Preceding Raymond were his parents and also a sister Isabelle Molnar. Surviving him are his two daughters; Linda (Brian) Jobe of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Melody (Tom) Pippin of Orlando, Florida, a son Daniel (Melody) Fowler of Mesa, Arizona, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving is his sister, Florence "Flo" Woznicki of New Port Richey, Florida and a host of nieces and nephews.
