Elaine, Too many memories to mention....trumpet practices, JP guzzling water at Sullivans for a free banana split that I ate cause he couldn't handle all that water, trying out his new cars on 94 to see how fast they'd go, the 4 of us going to Chicago and ending up where a policeman told us we should move to another location, those hot fudge banana splits for breakfast at Howard Johnsons....then later on in our older years, squeezing juice, going to Ft Myers flea market and we knew we'd find the boys where the tools were when they'd wander away from us...and the list could go on and on. Where y'all parked your RV when you came to visit on your way down for the winter and back, will always be reserved for you.
Uncle J will be greatly missed......

I will never forget the times with uncle J.At church, the way he would pick up the beat to Amazing grace and it give it so much energy.Watching him blow his trumpet.I will never forget church camp at him and aunt Elaines house. He was there when my Grandpa passed for my dad"Mike Lower" to turn to when he just needed someone to talk to.My brothers and Sister know him as grandpa Jonathan,Michael, and Kayla.I was the oldest so I had a chance to spend time with our grandpa John David Lower. But uncle J took them in as his own and was the Grandpa every child needs.Uncle J I Love You and I know we will be meeting again someday. To Aunt Elaine,Stay strong and God Bless you.I Love You.You are always in my thoughts and prayers.Hopefully we will see each other soon.Love your Great Niece Amy Ann Lower and her Family.Angel,Robert,Lisa,Tyler,Mariah,Melia,LIL'Jr,and Ameliah.

I did not know Uncle Jonathan that well but what I do remember are the good family times we shared. If You see Grandpa Mike up there tell him I said I love him and that I think of him all the time. I will see you both some day!!!!

I remember Uncle Jonathan as always smiling or singing! Just last summer he joined our little impromptu "praise gathering" during Gramma June's birthday party. His voice was strong as we sang songs of praise to the Lord!
For decades, I heard about the legendary performances of the song, "Apostolic Caravan" where he played the trumpet. How great those memories are for everyone who was blessed to be there in person!
I also remember Uncle Jonathan and Aunt Elaine giving Bob and I the "red carpet" treatment when we visited them in Kentucky years and years ago. I always felt very comfortable with them!
Aunt Elaine, I continue to pray that you will have strength and comfort as only Jesus can give.
Love,
Beckey Thompson
