Obituary of Robert Bearden

Robert Bearden July 22, 1929 April 5, 2008 Robert Earl Bearden, 78, of Woods Edge Drive in Niles, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 5, 2008 with his family by his side. Robert was born on July 22, 1929 to the late Walter and Ruth (Elder) Bearden in Cord, Arkansas. He was one of 7 children that grew up in the Bearden household. Robert graduated from high school he went on to achieve his degree in Engineering. He proudly worked for Benton Harbor Engineering for over 54 years before his retirement. In September of 1992 Robert wed the woman he had loved for nearly 20 years, Norma Bunker, at a beautiful ceremony in St. Joseph, Michigan. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Edward, Ed, Junior "Paul" and Vonnie Bearden. Robert is survived by his wife Norma, children Robert "Rock" Bearden, Jr. of Coloma, MI, Randy (Debbie) Bearden of Paw Paw, MI, Diana (Scott) Walter of Watervliet, MI, Janie McFadden of Watervliet, Patricia "Patty" (Adam Faltersack) McFadden of Bangor, MI and Robert "Bobby" (Kimberlie) McFadden of Niles, 14 Grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, Sister Kathy Ross of Fort Walton Beach, FL and Brother Teddie (Myrtle "Myrt") Bearden of Tampa, FL. In keeping with Robert's wishes he has been cremated and a memorial service will take place on Tuesday evening, April 8th at 6 p.m. to honor his life. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Niles.
