Gerald Rissman, 65, of Niles, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017. After graduating from Lawrence High School Gerald went on to attend Michigan Tech. He later spent time working as a chef and a carpenter. He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Rissman and is survived by his son, Thomas (Marika) Rissman of Dowagiac; father, Gerald (Cheri) Rissman of Niles; one grandson; sister Audrey Zellman of South Bend and numerous family and friends. In keeping with Gerald's wishes, he has been cremated and his family will be remembering him privately.
