Obituary of Edith Shoumake

Edith Marie Shoumake, 81, of Niles passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Riveridge Manor, following a lengthy illness.
Edith was born on March 19, 1927 in Dowagiac to the late John Clifford and Matie Alice (Miller) Perry. .
Edith married the love of her life William "Allen" Shoumake, Sr. on August 18, 1946 at a ceremony in Niles.
A homemaker most of her life, Edith also enjoyed writing poetry, water skiing and was an excellent cook and baker.
Preceding Edith are her parents, her husband Allen and a sister Ethel Skinner.
She is survived by her son William "Bill" (Linda) Shoumake, Jr. of Niles, a sister Evelyn Dohse of Niles and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Edith's wishes a private service was held at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
