Dorothy A. Davis August 9, 1917 May 27, 2008 Dorothy A. Davis, 90, passed away Tuesday May 27, 2008 at Silverbrook Manor Nursing Home following an illness. Dorothy was born in Curlew, Iowa on August 9, 1917 to the late Albert and Caroline (Keihl) Long. She was an active member and contributed to many local organizations including; YMCA Golden Age Club, Brandywine Senior Citizen Club, The Golden Ages- Pokagon Senior Citizens Club, and the Niles Senior Citizen Center. Dorothy also enjoyed embroidery and sewing. She enjoyed baking and was known throughout the community for her cookies. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, son David Davis, one brother, George Long of Marathon, Iowa, two sisters, Florence Schmidt of Ayrshire, Iowa, Edna Hoskin of Niles, Michigan. Dorothy is survived by four grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Memorial contributions can be made in Dorothy's memory to a charity of one's choice.
