Obituary of Jack Schoff

Jack L. Schoff November 11, 1949 July 22, 2008 Jack L. Schoff, 58 of West Bertrand Road in Niles, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 with his family by his side. Jack was born on November 11, 1949 to the late Jean Schoff. Jack was one of 10 children growing up in the Schoff household. Jack graduated from Brandywine High School in Niles in 1968 and was drafted in to the United States Army where he proudly served during Vietnam. On November 6, 1976 Jack married Karen Graham at a ceremony in Niles. Jack's love of high school sports carried over in to coaching his sons in Little League, Babe Ruth and watching them play high school sports. He loved sports and could always be found watching football, either on the television or sitting in the stands rooting for his favorite team, Notre Dame. In high school he played basketball, baseball and was the quarterback on the football team. As he got older he never gave up the love of sports but took an interest in golfing with his friends and spending time in the woods hunting. He enjoyed being out doors, especially if his children or dogs were with him. He is preceded in death by his mother grandparents John and Irene Schoff and sister-in-law Candice Bella. Jack is survived by his wife of 31 years Karen, Sons Jeff (Renee) Schoff, Kevin Schoff and Alan Schoff all of Niles, 2 grandchildren Jaycee and Brady, brothers Jerry (Debra) Bella and Robert Bella both of Niles and several aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will take place on Sunday, July 27, 2008 from 3-5 pm at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A private burial will take place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Niles.
