Obituary of Ernest Patrick

Ernest "Ernie" Patrick, 78, of Clermont, Florida and previously of LaPorte, Indiana passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013. Ernest was born on October 19, 1934 in Salyersville, KY to the late Matt and Essie Patrick. On September 21, 1957 he wed the love of his life, Bonnie Lockridge. They shared nearly 56 wonderful years of marriage and raised three children. Ernest dedicated himself to supporting his family, retiring from AMPCOR, Inc. in LaPorte after 30 years of service. He enjoyed being outdoors and could often be found with a fishing pole in his hand. He loved to travel and treasured time spent with his children and grandchildren. Ernest is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Pauline Lovins, Christine Patrick, Melvin Patrick, Beecher Patrick, Ray Patrick, and Eugene Patrick. Ernest is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Clermont, Florida; children Richard "Rick" Patrick of LaPorte, Indiana, Brenda Patrick of Granger, Indiana and Peggy (Michael) Orszulak of Florida; grandchildren Michael (Shanna) Plis, Steven Plis, Joseph Plis and Kirk Orszulak; four great grandchildren, and siblings Mitch Patrick, Rondal Patrick, Pat Patrick, Gorman Patrick, and Aaron Patrick. In keeping with Ernest's wishes he has been cremated and his family held a private memorial in his honor.
