David William Morales, 46, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017.
David was born on January 5, 1971, in Davenport, Iowa. After graduating from high school he went on to become a classroom aide with disabled children. He was a very caring and compassionate person and also loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping and especially building bonfires.
David is survived by his parents; Michele and Thomas Mahaffey of Cassopolis; wife, Cheri Morales; children, Christian Morales of Florence, Alabama and Jordan Ferrell of Nashville, Tennessee; stepsons, James (Lydia) Wilson of Benton Harbor, Eddie Wilson of Berrien Springs, and Max Wilson of Benton Harbor; two grandsons, Samuel and Grayson; siblings, John A. Morales II of Cassopolis, Wayne (Christy) Mahaffey of Decatur, and Christine (Wade) Landers of West Virginia; and many extended family members and close friends.
Funeral services to honor David's life were held privately by his family.
