Mira Mildred Cripps, 76, of Floral Drive in Niles, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 15, 2008.
Mildred was born on March 11, 1932 to the late Charlie and Ida (Adamson) Thurman in Daylight, Tennessee. She was one of 3 children growing up in the Thurman household.
On October 3, 1947 Mildred wed the love of her life, Stanton Charles Cripps at a ceremony in Rossville, Georgia. Together they had 3 wonderful children.
When Mildred wasn't redecorating her house or making a quilt for a family member she could be found outside relaxing, fishing and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Stanton Charles Cripps and brother-in-law B.F. Wilson.
Mildred is survived by her children James (Shirley) Cripps of South Bend, IN, Leonard (Kathryn) Cripps of Duncan, OK and Donna Fields of Dowagiac, MI, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and sisters Pauline Wilson of Murfeesboro, TN and Leona (Cecil) Danderand of Harrisonburg, VA.
