Obituary of Mae Jean VanGilder

Mae Jean (Schmoker) Van Gilder, 76, Niles, passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning, November 25, 2008, at Lakeland Community Hospital, Niles.
She was born on June 7, 1932 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the late Paul R. and Bertha (Elledge) Schmoker.
Mae Jean married Ronald J. Van Gilder at a ceremony in Niles, Michigan.
A homemaker most of her life, Mae Jean also worked for Simplicity Pattern, Suds Your Duds and as a clerk for many years with G.L. Perry. She enjoyed watching television and collecting Native American memorabilia.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronald on December 29, 1988, her son Michael VanGilder on July 19, 2008 and a brother Paul Schmoker.
Mae Jean is survived by a son Thomas VanGilder of Niles, three grandchildren; Tori and Gina VanGilder of Niles and Elizabeth Vander Bough.
